Looking for an affordable desk for your college apartment? Well, then you’ve come to the right post.
I am going over 8 of the best desk options for college students under $100.
These desks were vetted by college students who love them for their storage space, functionality, ease in setting up, and their aesthetically appealing looks.
Best yet, you can buy any one of these desks on Amazon!
Let’s jump in!

1. Yaheetech Computer Desk
I made this desk the number one best desk for college students because you can get so much out of it and it’s nearly the same exact one I bought for my college apartment (which I loved!!!!).
First, it’s super easy to assemble, which in my book is a total must!!
I don’t think any college student should have to spend more than two hours on any college furniture project because there is always just so much homework and reading to do.
This desk can be built in 1.5 hours so it is a win in my book.
The next thing I love about the desk is the space!
Not only do you have lots of table space for your laptop, pens, and notebooks, you get storage space on the top AND bottom to put your textbooks and supplies.
I definitely love this feature because not even the desks at my college’s dormitory gave me as much room as this desk does for my textbooks.
I always had to put some of my books on the ground so consider this feature a huge plus.
The only downside with this desk is that there isn’t something on the bottom shelf to prevent books from falling forward.
And if your legs are under there and a textbook falls down, then…ouch.
Nevertheless, students who bought this desk have said that it is really sturdy and “doesn’t move unless you move it,” so all in all, books should really really fall down with this desk.
Third, everyone who has bought this desk from Amazon raves about how lightweight yet sturdy this desk is which is super important to have.
As a college student, you may find yourself moving quite a bit (as I did).
Every year I moved because I was either trying to get away from a messy roommate, got sick and tired of living in a crappy apartment, or was joining my friends to live in a better, more beautiful apartment.
Similarly, if you find yourself in this situation, you will want a desk that you can easily disassemble or move without much effort.
Fourth, I am just loving this rich oak wood look. It can work in almost any space.
Finally, this desk is under $100, which I think is super reasonable with all that you’ll get out of this desk!!
Onto the next!
2. Linsy Home Computer Desk
The next best desk for college students is the Linsy Home Computer Desk.
It is so much like the first desk! It’s beautiful, easy to assemble, and lightweight.
The only thing that it is missing is the storage shelves above, which I wish it had.
Nevertheless, this desk provides really good storage space underneath (and off to the SIDE), which I definitely prefer.
Like I mentioned above, books could potentially fall on you if the shelf is immediately above your legs.
As such, having a shelf space away from your legs as this desk offers is a huge plus.
Finally, can we talk about the cost??? You can get this desk for under $60!!! This is a steal in my opinion so I would definitely recommend you getting this one if you are on a budget.
3. Green Forest Desk
I am not sure why the creators of this desk named it “Green Forest Desk” because they don’t offer any desks in green but I digress…
I wanted to show you this option because so far I have been showing you brown, oak desk and you may be looking for something white to keep your room looking and feeling bright.
As such, I found the same exact desk like the one above but in white.
(Click on the picture to see the option in white).
You have to pay $20 more for the white one but it’s still way below $100, which makes this desk a good buy if you want the storage space but still keep things bright.

4. Bronze Home Computer
If you want something more tucked away and neat looking and don’t care too much about storage space, then this desk is another great option to consider!
This desk offers enough space for you to tuck your textbooks in and give you a draw to put all of your writing tools and office supplies in.
I love that you can be as clean or as messy as you want and no one will notice! lol.
The next thing I love about this desk is that it’s wide enough for a desktop mac computer, a desk organizer, and space to work, but small enough to put in a tight space.
Like the other desk above, this desk is super sturdy, easy to assemble, and lightweight.
Finally, can we talk about this cashew color desktop! It’s absolutely gorgeous!!! It will definitely take your room to the next level if you get it.
5. Homfa Desk
The next best desk for college students is the Homfa desk.
If you’re that girl that hates open shelves and you want drawers instead, then THIS is your desk.
The drawers are very spacious so you can fit almost anything in there so long as it’s lying flat of course!
It’s also super easy to assemble.
In fact, one user said it only took 30 minutes to assemble hers, which is AH-MA-ZING!!
Like the other desks above, this one is also incredibly sturdy and can be moved around with no problem.
6 & 7. AuAg and Besiture Desks
Other great desks for college students are the AuAg and Besiture Desks.
I get it. Yes, you may want a desk with drawers or a desk with lots of storage space, but you may be super tight for cash and just need something with the basic functions.
(I am highlighting these together because they have the same features, but just different colors.)
That’s why these desks are the next best desk for college students on a budget.
They are $29.99 and $49.99 respectively, which you cannot beat!!
These desks are easy to assemble, super sturdy, and are super roomy to work on.
I consider the latter a huge plus because you can take your time, save up money, and add a desk organizer for extra storage space without over-cluttering it the top.
I also love that these two desks come with storage bags where you can store your textbooks and notebooks.
8. Need Small Desk
This desk is EXACTLY what it’s called.
A small desk. lol
I am fully aware that not all rooms are created alike and you could be in the world’s tiniest room right now!
As such, for the final desk option, I wanted to provide you with the best desk for college students living in super tiny spaces.
Trust me, I know!! For my junior year of college, I lived as an exchange student in England and chose to live in the tiniest flat ever.
None of the desks above would have fit except for this one.
As such, I know this desk would be perfect for you if you are working with super tight space and need something that will get the job done.
Not only will this desk fit in any tiny space, but you don’t have to assemble it!
It comes in a box with the legs folded, so all you have to do is open them up and start working!
